Cartooning

Learn to create cartoon characters, super heroes and comic strips! Students will learn to develop characters and story lines with associated dramatic illustration. The first few classes will concentrate on drawing and technique which students will then apply while designing and drawing their own projects for the rest of the session. Ages 8-13.

Cartooning Plush & Puppetry

This is cartooning class plus! In this class, young artists will develop a cartoon character and create its comic book story. The class will follow the cartoon theme created by the students. During the session they will be designing, drawing, and working in 2D and 3D. This class has been selling out and we are happy to offer our own little Comic Con. All materials included.

Before becoming a teacher, Heather Bennett founded "The Late Night Milk Run," a 15-year-old online business specializing in hand-made sculptures (plush dolls) and prop designs. Her work has been featured in publications including ELLE, Glamour, Milk Magazine (France), and Linda Wonen (Holland). Her dolls and artwork have also been seen on TV shows such as HBO's "Girls" and "Modern Family."

Drawing Mixed Media

Ages 5-8
Paint, Draw & More! offers drawing and painting classes that allow your child to express their creativity, while we teach them technical skills that help them blossom and build self-esteem through their artistic accomplishments. Our classes are fun, engaging and each project is developed with your young artist in mind. Younger and older children alike will build an image vocabulary and develop problem-solving skills through the medium of art. Paint Draw & More! classes assist creative development and will enhance students' intellectual growth and understanding of math, history and the sciences. Drawing fundamentals like shape, contour, design, color and medium are progressively used every week so your child can create new and varied works of art they can be proud of, and excited to share.

Ages 9-13
Paint Draw & More is proud to have perfected the art of igniting children's creative instincts. Our fun and informative drawing classes for older children and teens are specially designed to build on your child's knowledge of drawing, and to teach them technical skills as they develop their unique style. This advanced drawing class will provide a variety of drawing mediums, or children can choose to bring their own. We encourage students to work in black and white, or color; whichever best achieves their vision. Students are asked to bring a sketchbook to class, but it is not mandatory.

Easel Painting

Grades K-6
Paint like the Masters! Paint, Draw & More! presents another fantastic Easel Painting Class. This fun class will give students experience with acrylic paints and teach brush techniques that allow your child to express their creativity. Students are encouraged to problem solve and add their own unique ideas to their paintings. Their accomplishments help build self-esteem as they blossom and grow their own artistic style.

Woodworking Class

This highly successful project-oriented class is designed to give students hands on experience with carpentry and woodworking. They will learn to plan, measure, cut, build and decorate their projects using basic hand and carving tools. During the six-week program students will learn to use wood working hand tools in a safe and efficient manner while also learning how to turn plans into reality. Class enrollment is limited to offer each child focused attention from the teacher. Students must be 8 years or older or by special arrangement with the instructor.
